Hello Nitin,
We're sorry to hear you're experiencing persistent pain in your abdomen, especially given your history with abdominal TB. It’s understandable that this would be concerning.
Since you've had abdominal TB in the past and have been treated twice, the pain could be due to a few reasons:
Residual Inflammation or Scarring: Sometimes, TB can leave behind scar tissue, which may cause discomfort or pain even after the infection is gone.
Possible Recurrence or Another Condition: Though ultrasound may not show anything, abdominal TB can sometimes require further investigation. A CT scan, MRI, or additional lab tests (like a TB PCR test) could be more definitive, especially if the symptoms are specific and persistent.
Gastrointestinal or Muscular Issue: Pain in the lower right abdomen can also be caused by other issues, such as intestinal or muscle-related concerns.
It would be best to consult with a gastroenterologist or an infectious disease specialist, who may suggest further tests to rule out recurrence or other conditions. In the meantime, try to avoid any activities that might strain your abdominal area, and keep track of any other symptoms that could help your doctor in diagnosis.
