After completing his education, Dr Deshpande received traditional training under the guidance of Acharya A.W. Datarshastri at Vaidyaraj Datar Panchbhautik Chikitsa and Samshodhan Kendra in Sangli.

He also received training in Panchbhautic Chikitsa, Aushadhikaran (Pharmaceutication), and Panchkarma under Acharya Joshi in Dhulia, Maharashtra. Dr Deshpande has worked with various esteemed Ayurvedic practitioners during his career, including Vd. Ramdas Avhad in Kopargaon and Vaidya Vivek Haldavnekar in Kolhapur, where he learned the art of Panchbhautic Chikitsa.
