Dr Rajeev Sharan is a distinguished Surgical Oncologist, currently serving as Senior Consultant and Head of Department at HCG EKO Cancer Centre, New Town.

With an illustrious career spanning 27 years, he has garnered expertise in handling complex surgical oncology cases across renowned institutions such as Tata Medical Centre, Paras HMRI Hospital, Dharamshila Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, and SVIMS, Tirupati.

• Training in Endoscopic Thyroidectomy (Axillary breast approach with CO2) from the National Hospital of Endocrinology, Vietnam in 2015
• Training in Transoral thyroidectomy on Cadavers from Chinese University, Hong Kong 
• Training in Robotic Console Surgeon from Hong Kong

In 2016, Dr Sharan, a head and neck cancer doctor in Kolkata, completed specialized training in robotic head and neck surgery, neck dissection, and thyroidectomy during a cadaveric workshop and a two-week observership at Yonsei University, Seoul, under esteemed mentors Prof. Koh, Prof. Choi, and Prof. Kim.

An avid researcher, he has published extensively in national and international journals, contributing valuable insights into topics like lymph node characteristics in oral squamous cell carcinoma and advancements in microvascular reconstruction. His dedication to innovation, education, and patient-centric care has solidified his reputation as a leader in the field of head and neck oncology.

He is also an active member of the:

His contributions include organizing the CURE Thyroid workshop, which showcased advanced techniques in open, endoscopic, and robotic thyroid surgeries. He was also the first in the region to execute retroauricular robotic and endoscopic scarless neck surgeries.
