Dr. Sutanu Hazra

Dr Sutanu Hazra is a specialist in Orthopaedician with a rich experience of 24 years currently working in AMRI Hospital, Mukundapur. He has expertise in adult reconstruction of orthopaedic procedures and spine, trauma, pelvic and acetabular, paediatric deformity correction, and knee osteotomy, among other surgical procedures. He was previously associated with many renowned hospitals.

He has handled numerous complex medical cases and is known for attention to detail, accurate diagnosis, and treating patients with empathy. He is an active member of the World Orthopaedic Concern, the Indian Orthopaedic Association, the West Bengal Orthopaedic Association, the Indian Medical Association, the West Bengal Arthroplasty Society and the Kolkata Arthroscopy and Sports Society.

Dr Sutanu did his MBBS from Banaras Hindu University, Banaras in 2000. He also did his MS in Orthopaedics from Banaras Hindu University, Banaras in 2002. He has also completed his Fellowships in Adult Reconstruction Surgery and Orthopaedic surgery from National University Hospital, Singapore in 2007.

He has also participated in research work, and various workshops under the orthopaedics department, and published many papers. Doctor Hazra has also received many awards in his field. He was selected for the Instructors List Course of ACLS( Advanced Cardiac Life Support) by the American Heart Association and for attending the 15th Regional Asia Pacific Live Hip Surgery CME, at Gwangju, South Korea in 2012.
