Founded by eminent cardiac surgeon, Dr. Naresh Trehan, the institution has been envisioned with the aim of bringing to India the highest standards of medical care along with clinical research, education, and training. Medanta is governed under the guiding principles of providing medical services to patients with care, compassion, and commitment. Medanta The Medicity houses the sub-specialties of Cardiac Surgery, Electrophysiology and Pacing, Clinical and Preventive Cardiology, and Interventional Cardiology, where an integrated team of cardiac surgeons and cardiologists works in tandem. Backed up with the latest technology including a unique hybrid operating suite, the dedicated team of Cardiac Surgery doctors has performed a staggering 50,000+ CABG surgeries. The team is an expert in off-pump CABG, robotic heart surgery, and minimally invasive valve and coronary heart bypass techniques. The Medanta team has performed more than 15,000 cardiac surgeries and 2500 joint replacement surgeries and has performed over 500 living donor liver transplants. It is the highest number of liver transplants done in India and the 2nd highest in the world. The hospital has also set a world record for performing the highest number of Total Knee Replacement (30 surgeries a day) in the least amount of time and has American Heart Association certified International Training Centre.
