Dr. Vinay Bhat

Dr Vinay Bhat is a highly qualified Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary and Gastrointestinal Surgeon with 20 years of extensive experience. Recognized as one of the best surgical gastroenterologists in Bangalore, Dr Vinay is currently serving as the Lead Consultant in Surgical Gastroenterology and GI Oncology at Aster CMI Hospital, Bangalore.

He is skilled in performing both minimally invasive surgeries, including laparoscopic and robotic techniques, as well as open surgeries for a variety of gastroenterological conditions.

He further advanced his expertise by training in Oncology at the prestigious Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology, followed by specialized training in Surgical Gastroenterology at the Asian Institute of Gastroenterology.

He was awarded the Dr B Ramamurthi Gold Medal in DNB General Surgery in 2010 and the Dr Rangabhashyam Gold Medal in DNB Surgical Gastroenterology in 2013 for securing first place at the All India Level in their respective specialities.

In 2015 and 2016, Dr Vinay honed his skills in advanced laparoscopy through training at the renowned Mayo Clinic, Rochester, and IRCAD, Strasbourg. He also completed the Basic Cardiac Life Support Course, SJMCH / SEMI in 2004.
