A specialist in Medical Oncology with a rich experience of over 48 years is currently working in Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurugram. Dr Vinod Raina is one of India’s foremost Medical Oncologists with a rich experience of over 45 years and has expertise in all adult cancers with a special interest in Breast Cancer, Lung Cancer, GI Malignancies, Genitourinary Cancer, Gynaecological malignancies, Lymphoma, Bone Marrow and Stem Cell Transplant. He has performed the First High Dose Chemotherapy and peripheral blood stem cell transplant with over more than 400 bone marrow or stem cell transplants for various cancers personally. With his tremendous research experience and mentorship, nearly 70 residents and DM students have gained immense knowledge. He was the Principal Investigator of approximately 50 projects while at AIIMS for 24 years. He was adjudged best house physician in AIIMS, New Delhi in 1975 and has received many national and lifetime achievement awards. He is known for attention to detail, accurate diagnosis and treating patients with empathy.
